COME CELEBRATE 60 YEARS OF TRADITION AT CAMP MELAKWA

You too can help celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Camp Melakwa and with your additional support, guarantee a quality program, building outdoor skills and delivering the promise of Scouting to young men for years to come.

Offered is a 5 patch set to commemorate this event. The attractive folder will contain a brief history of Camp Melakwa with 5 patches. 4 will be the 2006 camp patch with 4 different border colors signifying; campers, staff, OA, and Beaver day. The 5th will be a replica of the original 1946 patch in today’s cloth. This patch is ONLY available in the set.

The cost of each set is $30.00. This is a pre-sale, pre-order, fund raiser. The deadline to receive your order is May 31, 2006. There in NO limit to your order. Camp Melakwa lies 75 miles to the east of Eugene, Oregon in the beautiful Cascade Mountain Range. The camp's main attractions include a wide range of high adventure activities that take full advantage of the pristine wilderness areas and rugged terrain surrounding the camp. 

At Melakwa, some of your boys might challenge themselves with activities such as mountain climbing, rock climbing, hiking, or rappelling. Of course Melakwa also provides in camp programs such as aquatics, nature, archery, handicraft, and Scoutcraft to teach your boys basic scouting skills and help them along in their quest for Eagle.  

Each troop plans and prepares its own menu. This encourages the boys to work together as a team and gives them a sense of accomplishment after they finish cooking each meal. Melakwa offers something for everyone. Your older boys will head out of camp with our high adventure programs and your younger boys will be able to take advantage of our experienced staff in the program areas.
