Friends of Scouting Provides Council Service Center Executive Staff Support Staff Camp Properties Scout Shop Program Development Volunteer Support Membership Development New Unit Development Awards and Recognition

Each unit within the boundaries of the Doug Fir District has the opportunity to support the Friends of Scouting campaign.  Most units allow a presenter from the finance committee to come to a Cub Scout Blue and Gold, Boy Scout Court of Honor, or some other function where every family member will be present along with some guests.  The presentation allows the following
 

Inform parents and unit about the larger Scouting program Share the Scouting story Give an opportunity for everyone to give Answer questions The unit supports its council Grow the Scouting program

If your unit has not had a presentation yet, or would like help in meeting its goal, contact your District Executive and he will help.

The Oregon Trail  Council expends over $100 per Scout per year in support.
