There is a specific process to applying to become an Eagle Scout in the Doug Fir District, Oregon Trail Council

Steps to finishing the Eagle Scout Process

  1. Contact the OTC Service Center at 1-800-801-4430 and have them send you an Eagle Scout Leadership Project Workbook, or download it here.

  2. Develop a suitable project and have it approved by the District.  You may contact the Eagle Project reviewer here to have your project authorize prior to starting.  You will then receive an official letter of approval.

  3. Complete the project and all other requirements in your handbook.

  4. Fill out the Application and send it to the OTC Service Center at 2525 MLK Blvd., Eugene, OR 97401 along with your Eagle Scout Leadership Project Workbook and any accompanying materials.  They will review it for completeness

  5. This packet once reviewed will be sent back to the District and an Eagle Scout Board of Review will be scheduled for you.  Your Scoutmaster should accompany you to this board of review, and he/she should introduce you to the board.
